Many are probably wondering how current COVID-19 world events will affect Pabau, as you rely on it daily in your business. Some people have challenged us in the past on our almost ‘too’ transparent approach to past events, but I won’t be the only one to say these are very uncertain times, and I feel as the founder it’s my duty to be as upfront and honest of some changes we will need to make in light of the COVID-19 global health crisis, and what you can expect from us in the coming weeks.
After analysing our support data over the weekend and Monday 23/03 – we felt there is no need to have 6 people working support, and we have moved our team members around the business (primarily to our quality assurance team, who will be focusing on creating test plans)
- We have shifted to Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm.
- We have moved to live chat and email only.
- You may request a phone call via email for more complex issues, and we will call back the same day.
Another key change, is we’re 100% focused on how we can help you through this COVID-19 pandemic. These are challenging times. They will likely be causing many health businesses to work in different ways than they’re used to (ie. video consultations). We are re-evaluating our priorities, and shifting all work to things that we believe will be most impactful for you in the coming months.
We noticed a lot of clients have sent SMS cancellation messages, and bulk messages to their clients to inform of closures. We have applied a 50% discount across all accounts for people who wish to purchase SMS bundles moving forward. This will likely last until early April.
Video consultations are coming to Pabau very very soon! This was not something we have had on our radar at all, but due to the circumstances and the sheer volume of requests, we want to do everything we can to allow you to perform patient video consultations, combined with the ability to take payments and deposits via Stripe.
The first version will be rather basic – but this will be a safe & compliant way for you to some extent cope better during these difficult times. It will be free for now, but as we have some rather large costs associated with providing it, we will have to charge for usage at some point in the near future. We’ll keep the price as low as possible, this isn’t a money making thing for us, we’re just trying to help you with what you need right now.I’m sure you’ll have questions, so post them below and we’ll answer as best we can.
I wish you all the best in the coming months, and please let us know how we can help.
